Andrew Geiger

Founder, Executive Director

I am a husband, father, combat veteran, and devoted follower of Christ. In my spare time I enjoy waterfowl hunting and fishing. Through my own journey of healing and working on our lavender farm I have become passionate about helping fellow veterans who struggle with PTSD discover healing, renewed strength and lasting hope. Whether mentoring veterans, serving others, or enjoying the outdoors I am committed to living a life of service and leading others from combat to calm.

Chrissy Geiger

Co-Founder, Lavender Farm Manager, Prayer Warrior

As the wife of a combat veteran, a mother of two, and a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, I understand both the blessings and challenges that come with military family life. My husband, Andrew, and I have walked through the realities of PTSD and the impact it can have on veterans and their loved ones. At Promise Keeper Farms, I oversee our lavender farm and create handcrafted products that promote rest, peace, and wellness. My passion is helping veteran families find hope, healing and encouragement through faith, community, and practical support. Through Combat To Calm, my heart is to come alongside spouses, children and veterans as they navigate the struggles of PTSD, reminding them that they are not alone and that healing is possible through God’s grace, purpose, and love.

Co-Founder, Director of Operations

I am a child of God who is blessed to be called husband to an amazing wife for almost twenty years.  I am also blessed to carry the name Dad to two amazing young men who inspire me daily.  I have served in the Army for the past 21.5 years and will retire this year capping 22 years of service to the greatest nation on this earth.  I have seen the struggle of past trauma in my work in Men’s ministry as well as in my profession in the Army.  It is a hard thing to watch someone go through who thinks they are alone or does not want to burden the rest of the world with their problems.  I have a desire and a mission to let every person know they are not alone; there are plenty who want to care for them and there is a Father in heaven who loves them unconditionally.  At Combat To Calm we are broken people God is using to heal broken people. Combat To Calm’s mission and vision are near and dear to me for two reasons.  One, we are here to let all veterans know they are not alone and there is hope, and two, joining Andrew on his journey to healing is evidence that prayer, mission and friendships provide hope and a pathway to healing.

I have been blessed to be married to an incredible Army soldier for nearly 20 years, and together we have two sons who bring so much joy to our lives. Above all, I am a daughter of the One True King, honored to serve and encourage the veteran community through the vision and mission of Combat To Calm. Throughout my nursing career, I have had the privilege of caring for active-duty service members and veterans at multiple duty stations. I have witnessed firsthand the painful effects of PTSD on both soldiers and their families, from young service members to elderly veterans. For years, I prayed alongside my friend Chrissy for Andrew’s healing, and seeing what Jesus has done through Andrew’s story has brought joy and renewed hope for so many others who are struggling.  I am excited to see all that Jesus will continue to do, and I am humbled that He has chosen to allow me to be part of the testimonies that will come as the Holy Spirit brings healing to hearts through Combat To Calm.

Missy Haire

Event Coordinator

I am the Event Coordinator for Combat To Calm. I am a single mother of two children, a grandma of 4. I’ve been a manager in some capacity at every job I’ve ever worked, and an event coordinator for a church for 3 years and before that I was a member of that same outreach team for 5 years. I have a heart for service and my organizational skills help tremendously. I’ve been serving in some capacity all my adult life and never even realized it. I don’t have a military background, but many people I love are veterans and this is a cause that is very close to my heart. I want everyone to know Jesus and know the goodness He offers and if I can do something to show that goodness, I’m gonna do it.

Grant Writer, Mission Supporter

Combat to Calm was born from a vision and a willingness to respond to a real need. The Geiger family recognized that many veterans were searching for healing, hope, and purpose, and rather than waiting for someone else to act, they answered God's call. They accepted the responsibility to use the resources and gifts He had entrusted to them by opening their farm and their hearts to serve those who have sacrificed so much for our country. Their faith and obedience are an inspiration. Andrew and Chrissy demonstrate what can happen when we trust God's direction and surrender our plans to Him. They remind us that Jesus is still in the business of healing broken hearts, restoring lives, and growing something far greater than we could accomplish on our own. Their ministry is a testimony that when we faithfully respond to God's calling, He multiplies our efforts and uses them to bring hope and transformation to others. Through their example and ministry, God has helped me find a renewed sense of purpose and peace.

Combat To Calm is truly a place of healing for veterans and their loved ones. As a fellow Christian, tradesman, and mission supporter, I have seen the impact that faith, compassion, and service can have on people's lives. Andrew and Chrissy Geiger embody those values through their ministry and their unwavering commitment to serving veterans. Their personal story is one of hope, perseverance, and God's faithfulness. They openly share how Christ has worked in their lives, offering encouragement to others who may be facing difficult circumstances. Through Combat To Calm, they have created a place where veterans and their families can find peace, restoration, and the hope that comes through a relationship with Jesus Christ. I am grateful to support a ministry that not only recognizes the needs of those who have served our country but also responds with genuine love and a desire to see lives transformed. Andrew and Chrissy's dedication is making a lasting difference, and I believe Combat To Calm will continue to be a source of healing and hope for many years to come.
